Writings Guru Review

Among all the websites out there which provide essay-writing services for students, it can be sometimes difficult to determine which ones are a scam and which ones are legit. On top of that, of course, you want to find one that is safe to trust your details to, one that has great prices, excellent writers, 24/7 customer support, and maybe a discount or even a freebie. Today I’m having a look at WritingsGuru.com to see if they meet those all-important standards.

Services – 5/10

WritingsGuru offer the usual essay-writing and problem-solving services for students from high school on up. However, they also offer some other services like wedding speeches, JAVA programming, business plans, and web design. I checked for discount codes or promotions but did not see any readily available. I noticed that they have a money-back guarantee and provide a refund if you are not satisfied.

Pricing – 4/10

writingsguru.com prices

I went to the Prices page on their website so I could fully see all the options available. One necessary, in my opinion, choice is to have an Advanced Writer carry out your assignment, which adds 25%. After selecting this and asking for a 7-page essay at undergraduate level, with additional editing included, as well as copies of the sources used, the total came out to a breath-taking $221.30. (Despite the site being British as well as American, the quote could only be carried out in US dollars.)

Content Quality – 4/10

The first thing I did to check the quality of their work was to check the reviews on the site. In the case of Writings Guru, their reviews (all positive) are undated, and could have been literally from anytime in the past.

The next step was to check samples on the site and the text of the website. The samples seem more or less average in writing style and quality, and the text on the website has a number of typos and some odd usage of English, so there’s a concern if the writers are indeed native English speakers.

The final thing I did was to check Google for external reviews. In this case, I didn’t find any, which suggests that the site is fairly new or hasn’t had many customers. More established websites have multiple reviews on other sites from customers.

Customer Service – 5/10

Writings Guru offers a Live Chat service to contact in case you need some help with your account or even if you just have some questions when you sign up or login. They also have a support email address, and phone numbers for both the USA and the UK. In addition, they provide some links to social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Linked In. The company is registered in the United Kingdom, specifically for legal purposes, in Scotland.

WritingsGuru.com, as a website, do appear to be trying hard to appeal to students. However, when you consider that they are very expensive and don’t have much feedback, they begin to look like average I would go with a site that was more tried and trusted, and you can definitely find an established site that’s cheaper as well.

  1. I wasn’t impressed with the subject knowledge the writers here have. I was assigned a writer that didn’t seem to know enough about Law, my subject. That meant my essay was too vague for me to use, as my professors expect a higher level of knowledge. I had to make a lot of edits.
