With a nicely laid out and uniquely styled website, my first impressions are good but, as we know, looks can be deceiving. Let’s find out whether this is the custom writing service for you.

My first surprise was the fact that is no dedicated services page so you’ll have to click on the order page to see whether the actual service you want is covered by the E Writing Service website. However, upon clicking on this page, you’ll find that the website operates one of my least favorite service formats.

This is where you’ll post what essay, speech, report or presentation that you want, and this will be advertised to a range of freelance writers that use the site who will bid on your work. They then bid their best price for you to choose who you want the most. This is a poor way of doing things since you don’t know if the writer is qualified.

Pricing – 5/10

Hand in hand with the consideration above, the writers will bid their best price, but since they are all freelance, all writers tend to keep their prices high. This means you’ll be paying much more than a website that offers fixed-priced services.

Content Quality – 3/10

There are a handful of testimonials on the EWritingService homepage, no dedicated page, but these are extremely brief and don’t provide any information on what the service is actually like. There’s also no date which means the testimonials are probably faked since they are years old.

Searching online, my suspicions were confirmed. Many past customers claimed that some of the writers are definitely not native English-speaking and there is a tonne of other reports claiming poorly written content, plagiarized content as well as resales and late delivery.

Customer Support – 3/10

I was pleasantly surprised by the support channels that the website offered. There’s a toll-free US phone number, multiple dedicated email addresses for each department and a comprehensive email form you can fill out.

However, there’s no phone number for international students, no social media links or Skype contact, making it hard for anybody outside the US to get instant support.
